Diel’s newest single “Majesty” is an uplifting ballad to all women of Jamaica. Given the unfortunate uptick in the media discussing acts of violence towards women, the artist wanted to use his music to empower women.
Tsojourna is the first album from Ras-I, released via his own label Ras-I Musique and Wakeupstar. Having already gained a reputation for his intricate fusion of Roots with Soul/RnB and Jazz, Tsojourna has a fair bit of expectation riding on it. Fortunately for Ras-I, it doesn’t disappoint.

Empowering is only one of many words to describe Ras-I’s latest project Tsojourna. The artist’s debut infuses his reggae sensibilities with notes of other genres, inclusive of soul and hip hop, to produce a sonically lush body of work. With features from Jesse Royal and The No-Maddz, the artist’s foray is a telling and promising example of his potential.
For Khxos, the journey has been one of hard work and dedication, finding his true sound, and constant evolution as an artist. Born Oshane Logan in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, and now residing in Florida, he has amassed hundreds of thousands of streams with tracks like “Dopamine” and his latest single “Tambrin” and collaborated with some of the hottest artists and producers in dancehall and reggae. Without need for gimmicks or excessive hype, he’s steadily made a name for himself over the past few years, blending dancehall with hip hop, R&B and pop.

Rising reggae artiste Ras-I, real name Immanuel Kerr, is feeling good and excited about his upcoming debut album, Tsojourna, scheduled for release in the third week of November. The young singer said surely that the work would yield a positive response, with confidence likely sprouting from all the time spent in making the project worthwhile. Usually sporting a wide grin, with dreadlocks reaching down the length of his back, Ras-I’s image already exudes ‘roots’, but fans and new listeners can also expect a little R&B vibes from the millennial up-and-comer – like in his latest single called Ordinary Day.
Mortimer always comes in like the strong yet gentle force that reggae needs. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in the rural parish of St. Elizabeth, music found him at the tender age of eight, singing choir. His influences include the greats Bob Marley and Stephen Marley, as well as soul singers like Donny Hathaway and John Legend. His voice is both silky and smoky as he blends roots reggae and contemporary Jamaican music together with ease.
