After a brief hiatus, DyDy returns with an upful chune for the gal dem living their best life. “Stress Free” is a powerful follow-up to her 2017 girl-anthem “2 Can“.

After going through it with a former man-friend, she headed straight to the studio to link Track Starr, the New York-based Jamaican producer behind HoodCelebrityy’s “Walking Trophy.” For DyDy, music is both self-therapy and self-empowerment. Her confident vocals flourish over the breezy riddim as she shakes free from all stress and bad mind to focus 100% on her music (and her money).

Born Dyrana McIntosh in St. Elizabeth, the social media star turned singer is evolving into a big, strong woman who doesn’t have time for the foolishness. She’s battled depression, doubts and a bagga drama only to come out victorious and vibrant as ever, which she demonstrates through her music.

“I’m promoting independence when it comes to woman. We have a lot of music promoting different things like, ‘You have to sleep with man. You have to do this and that.’ No, you don’t have to do that,” DyDy tells us over FaceTime. “Focus on yourself, stack your money, don’t stress yourself over no man. There’s more out there.”

A true. And nothing is truer than staying true to yourself, which is something DyDy does quite well. Another, is making great music, as the song has already begun to climb the reggae charts on Apple’s iTunes.

People nuh understand at all. It nuh easy,” she admits. “But it pays off.”
