Hi. We’re Wakeupstar.
In general, we are a music label, media collective and creative studio.
In all honesty, we’re just creatives who do dope things with dope people.
W* Media began as an interactive media & design studio before expanding to meet the various needs of creatives in the late 2000s. In 2011, we launched W* Studio as a creative lounge and co-working space in Los Angeles (around the corner from what was then the Staples Center) before going on to be the first Black woman-owned gallery and creative studio in Miami’s Wynwood Art District in 2013. Since then, we have taken a hybrid approach to media arts, music, sports and even travel, combining strategy and design with live events and immersive experiences.
W* is committed to helping creatives not only realize their purpose, but take action to see the tangible results of their inspired efforts. It’s not an easy task to define, let alone take on, but we pour our hearts into every project and truly believe that each of our clients makes the world a better, cooler and more enjoyable place.
